Practice: Used To

For past habits, we use 'used to + base verb'. In Spanish: 'Solía jugar fútbol todos los domingos.'

With negative statements, we use 'didn't use to'. Remember to drop the 'd'. In Spanish: 'No solían vivir aquí.'

'Be used to' is followed by -ing. In Spanish: 'Estamos acostumbrados a despertarnos temprano.'

'Get used to' is followed by -ing. In Spanish: 'Ella se está acostumbrando a conducir a la derecha.'

'Used to' is used for past habits. In Spanish: 'Solía nadar en el mar.'

'Be used to' is used for adaptation. In Spanish: 'No está acostumbrado al calor todavía.'

'Get used to' is used for becoming accustomed. In Spanish: 'Se están acostumbrando a comer comida picante.'
